The Boy Scout program at OLGC provides the nationally sanctioned Boy Scout and Cub Scout program. It is open to all young men of the parish ages 6 to 18. The Boy Scouts meet in the basement of De Sales Hall on the 2nd-4th Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9pm. The Cub Scouts meet 2-3 times a month with their dens, and once a month with the entire Pack on a Friday evening or weekend activity with their families.
Girl Scouts - The girls of the parish are invited to join one of the many Daisy, Brownie or Girl Scout troops at OLGC. There are troops for grades K through 8. Contact Michelle McNiff for more information.
Track & Field - For grades 5-8, The NVJCYO Track & Field Meets take place in the Fall and for grades 3-8 the Meets take place in the Spring. These meets are open to all OLGC parishioners in the third through eighth grade. Contact Sheila Murphy & Amber Williams for more information.
The youth program strives to recognize the uniqueness and capabilities of each child, to lead responsible and productive lives, to make rational decisions, and to successfully meet the demands and the challenges of tomorrow's society. This is accomplished through social, spiritual and service activities. The group is open to registered young people in grades 7-12.

Chess Club - The club is for grades K-8. It meets every Wednesday after school in the library loft from 3-4pm. Next session starts in February. There is a separate fee charged for this program and is independently managed by the Silver Knights Chess. Contact Irene Zaso for more information.
Chorus - The 3-4th grade chorus meets after school on Tuesdays until 4pm. The 5-8th grade chorus meet on Wednesdays. Contact Mrs. Howell at 703-938-3600 ext. 316
Student Council - meets regularly during the school year. All grade levels are represented.
Wilcat Chat - The school newspaper is published twice during the school year. Coordinator is needed please sign up with Meredith Klein
Yearbook - We are always looking for photographs of your class, activity or group. Please send pictures to Terry Callen.
Activities
Band - Participates in the Diocesan Band Program and is available for grades 4-8. Lessons are given on a rotating basis during school hours. Full band practice is held after school on Tuesdays for one hour. There is a separate fee charged for this program and is independently managed by the instructor. OLGC is an active participant in the Northern Virginia Junior Catholic Youth Organization Sports program. All programs are open to all parish youth.
Basketball-Approximately 200 boys and girls take part in the basketball program. An instructional House League for 4th and 5th graders is offered where everyone makes the team and is assured of 2 quarters of play per game. The games are played in the OLGC gym. Contact Duane Knauf & Lisa Nihill. Children in grades 6th through 8th may participate in the CYO League which plays other parishes. There are usually 2 boy teams and 2 girl teams per grade. Softball - The OLGC JV team has won the championship two years in a row and we look to continue that trend. Teams practice once a week after school and play one game on either Saturday or Sunday.
